The Platinum Mentoring Service is Empowers maximum level of well-being support, offered in addition to our standard Well-Being Subscription. Designed especially for international students entering UK higher education, it gives both students and parents the highest level of care, guidance, personal attention and complete peace of mind during this major life transition.
Direct access to an Empower founder
Your child has a dedicated contact, a caring, experienced founder they can call for advice, emotional support, or help navigating the ups and downs of university life.
Monthly in-person check-ins
One of our founders personally visits your child at their university once a month during the first term (three visits total), offering private, supportive conversations to ensure they’re settling in confidently.
Tailored guidance & problem-solving
We help your child tackle everything from time management and budgeting to social adjustment, academic stress, and cultural differences, giving them the tools to thrive.
Community connections
Where possible, we introduce & connect our Platinum students at the same university so they can build friendships, share experiences, and support each other from the start.
Parental reassurance (that universities cannot provide)
Due to UK privacy regulations, universities are not allowed to communicate directly with parents about a student’s well-being or academic situation. Empower fills this critical gap: after each visit (with the student’s formal consent under UK GDPR), we provide you with a brief well-being update, keeping you informed and reassured without intruding on your child’s independence.
